DeSales University, based out of Center Valley, has been providing excellence in higher education for over 50 years. DeSales, as noted in their vision, aspires to be a learning community where innovative teaching, mentored professional practice, and ethical preparation expands the minds, the talents, and the hearts of curious students to construct new ideas and lead lives of impact. Upon applying for and receiving a grant DeSales knew it was time to update Wills Hall to house their Department of Health Studies and Speech Pathology program. DeSales knew they had a challenge with the circular building but put their faith in Pany & Lentz Engineering and the awarded general contractor Valley Builders to pull the building upgrades together. Bastians, having already helped DeSales with many other projects on their campus was a perfect fit to make sure the flooring stayed consistent with other renovations completed over the years while also providing an updated space. With the challenge of a circular layout Bastians was able to help guide design and flooring layout to provide the best possible look for the space. Using a combination of Roppe Northern Timbers and Northern Parallels Bastians created a look that offered flow and wayfinding for the incoming students. Stairwells were refreshed using Roppe Rubber Treads and Risers.
