Driesenga & Associates has teamed with Lamar Construction Company to develop multiple new Auto Value stores throughout Michigan, including new facilities in Royal Oak, Houghton Lake, Grand Haven and Holland, MI. With most stores, Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) is provided with potential building sites, and is then relied on to perform a preliminary site evaluation to determine the feasibility of the site for development. This evaluation includes an investigation of local ordinances, available utilities, storm water management options and conceptual layouts. Once the project moves into development, D&A provides its full scope of services. Initially, this includes a boundary/topographic survey and geotechnical soils investigation. Full civil engineering services are then provided, including the development of the final site plan, storm water management, utilities, grading plans, and civil project management. Project management includes preparation of applications and meeting with the various local, county and state agencies for the permits required for construction. Throughout the construction phase, D&A provides survey construction staking as well as construction inspection and materials testing services on the soil, aggregate, concrete, masonry, and steel to verify that all materials meet project specifications.
